Original archive footage and photographs tell the story of the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway, from it's inception in 1825 through to its closure in 1952 and beyond.

The DVD starts with abundant photographs, maps and documents to illustrate the 19th century's opening and working of the line. Early cine film shows regular working from the Harbour through to Canterbury, together with footage of the last official train in November 1952.
